OUR STORY

Bloomingtails was established in 2015 by Owner/Director, Candice, through her love of animals and her dream to transform her passions into a successful ethical business.

With more than 10 years of combined veterinary nursing and dog grooming experience, including Certificates III and IV in ‘Veterinary Nursing’, a ‘Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care,’ and working as an emergency and critical care nurse at North Shore Veterinary Specialist Hospital, Candice prides herself on providing a professional, happy and calm environment for all dogs and their families.

Bloomingtails is proudly based in Artarmon on Sydney’s Lower North Shore and has a range of natural essential oils vaporising to create a peaceful and relaxed environment. We only use all natural Australian made grooming products with each dog receiving healthy treats throughout the grooming experience.

In 2022 Bloomingtails Doggie Farmstay started to blossom in the Hunter Valley.

We understand just how much your fur-baby deserves to be loved and respected whilst in our care and our dedicated team look forward to welcoming you and your fur-babies to our boutique grooming salon.

Bloomingtails is a proud member of the Pet Industry Association Australia (PIAA).

The Pet Industry Association requires exacting standards from its members to ensure the welfare of animals and promote responsible pet ownership, and liaises with governments, animal welfare agencies, as well as pet and animal groups nationally and internationally to ensure that animals are being treated fairly and ethically.

CANDICE - OWNER, DIRECTOR + SENIOR DOG STYLIST

In 2015, Candice turned her lifelong passion for animals into Bloomingtails.

Candice is a highly qualified Veterinary Nurse and Dog Groomer with over 10 years of combined experience. Candice’s qualifications include a Certificate III in Animal Studies, Certificate III in Grooming, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Emergency & Critical Care). She has worked in a variety of clinics from general practice to Emergency and Critical Care and is also trained in ‘human’ hospital level nursing having completed university studies at UTAS.

Outside of Bloomingtails, Candice enjoys spending time at her beautiful farm in the Hunter Valley with her young family including her precious dogs, ‘Bloom’ (Japanese Spitz X French Bulldog), Mackenzie, Marley, Bucky (all three are Golden Retrievers), cat Malakai, ducks Stevie + Kennedy, geese Olaf, Elsa + Woody, and guinea pigs Saffo + Gerald.

In 2023, Candice was proudly nominated as a finalist and awarded in all seven categories at the AusMumpreneur Awards. Her proudest achievement is:

IN LOVING MEMORY OF HUNTER 2010 - 2021

Bloomingtails was established in Lane Cove, when Candice, assisted by her loyal fur baby, a Boxer ‘Hunter’, opened her first dog grooming salon in 2015.

Sadly, in 2021 Hunter crossed the rainbow bridge. He used to sleep on Candice’s bed every night, followed her everywhere and was the main inspiration for Bloomingtails. When he passed it was a very difficult time for Candice and her family. We miss him everyday but love that Hunter is featured in our Bloomingtails logo and will continue to live on through the Bloomingtails brand.
